It always starts the same way. Half past five, fridge open, and somehow none of it is dinner.
There is plenty in there. Half a bag of spinach. Chicken that came out of the freezer this morning. Rice, garlic, something in a jar you bought for one recipe last spring. You stand there long enough that standing there becomes the decision, and you order in again.
On Sunday the spinach goes in the bin. Chicken goes on the list, even though there is chicken. Somebody buys a third jar of the thing nobody has opened. Then Thursday comes round and you are back at the fridge, doing it again.
The strange part is that none of this is a recipe problem. There are millions of recipes. Every one of them assumes you are starting from a shopping trip you have not made yet, which is exactly backwards from where anybody actually stands at half past five.
So we built the thing that starts from the other end. From what you already own, what is about to turn, and how much of a weeknight you genuinely have.
USE ITTick what you would happily use tonight. Things about to turn float to the top, so the three bananas going soft become banana loaf instead of bin liner.
Ticking something means it is allowed, not required. A recipe does not have to use everything you pick.
Not a wall of recipes you would need to shop for. A handful of things you can make tonight, and the two ingredients standing between you and the rest.

45 min, serves 5
Chicken thigh, soy sauce, cane vinegar, garlic, peppercorns
Missing 1: bay leaves
25 min, serves 4
Chicken thigh, spinach, garlic, butter
Everything on hand
1 hr 5 min, one tin
Clears all 3 overripe bananas and the white cheese before it turns
Missing 2: baking soda, eggs
Missing items go to the shared list in one tap. You shop, what you bought goes back into the kitchen, and next time the app already knows. That is the whole loop.
OUT & ABOUT โTick things off in a basement aisle. Changes queue on your phone and sync the moment you are back.
Add milk at work, someone else sees it in the shop. No screenshots, no group chat.
Bin night, the school form, the thing defrosting since morning. Jobs live beside the food, because that is how a house actually runs.
Things about to turn get flagged first, so they end up as dinner rather than in the bin.
Re-Serve installs like an app without going near an app store. Worth doing: installed is the only way iPhone will let it send you a reminder, and it opens without the browser bars in the way.
On iPhone you have to use Safari for this. Chrome on iOS cannot add to the home screen, which catches a lot of people out.

Set up a household in under a minute. Bring whoever you live with, and let the fridge stop being a daily standoff.
